Our superintendent of education is responsible for overseeing 11 elementary schools and one boarding academy. The Montana Conference is a strong supporter of Adventist Education. Montana churches are dedicated in making sure that SDA schools are one of the most important parts of their local budgets. Mt. Ellis Academy, one of the oldest boarding schools in North America, has been offering a quality Christian education for well over a hundred years. God has blessed our schools and we know that Christian education “doesn’t cost…it pays!”
Renae is also responsible for coordinating the youth ministry of the Montana Conference, which includes Adventurers, Pathfinders, and Summer Camp.

The Children’s Ministries department provides Montana's local churches with training that enables local ministry leaders to effectively minister to children and their families.
Our department functions primarily to equip and train lower division Sabbath School, Vacation Bible School, and outreach leaders, teachers, and families in the methods of effectively reaching and the discipleship the hearts and minds of millennial children with the love of Jesus.
Adventist Health Ministries’ mission is to demonstrate God’s love by promoting whole person health principles to Adventist church leaders, members and the community at large, assisting people from all ages, gender, and ethnicity in reaching their full potential for wholeness and a productive abundant life. Health Ministry is the gospel of Christ illustrated, the message of God practiced. Without it, the gospel witness is muted; it is merely a theory, an idea.
Our main aim is for each church in the Montana Conference to become a center for health, healing, and wholeness in the community where people may increase their health awareness, learn to incorporate standards for healthful living, and find restoration in Christ for a hurting body, mind, or soul.
Prayer is a significant part of everything that happens in the Montana Conference. Each committee, retreat, meeting, and presentation begins with a season of prayer seeking God’s wisdom and insight. Led by director Debbie Payne, Prayer Ministries includes volunteer prayer partners who assist with the many events throughout the year. Every week, prayer partners gather to lift up the needs of the conference, departments, and office personnel. Every pastor and principal is lifted up by name, along with every Montana Conference church and school. The prayer request list is updated each week and a prayer email is periodically sent to prayer partners throughout the conference. Thank you for praying for the needs of the conference and its leaders.
